CAYA Casework Services

Casework Services

Clarkston Area Youth Assistance provides confidential, short-term, family-centered counseling and referral services for youth, 16 years of age or younger, and their families who live in the Clarkston Community School District. Referrals are accepted from schools, police, community members, and parents with concerns about their child. The Family Division’s Intake Unit may divert a case when, in their judgment, Youth Assistance services are most appropriate. Typical reasons for referral include prevention, behavior concerns at home or school, substance use, assault, or violations of local ordinances. There is a one-time processing fee of $25 for casework services.

If you would like more information about potential services, or need any information about referrals, please reach out to us. You can reach our caseworker, Lauren Klos, at klosl@oakgov.com, or call the Clarkston Area Youth Assistance office at 248-623-4313. Please leave a message if we don’t answer, and we will get back to you.

You can also reach out to Common Ground at https://commongroundhelps.org or call them at 1-800-231-1127 for more immediate assistance.
